The Teachers Training Centre of Ferrol is a public institution funded by the regional Educational Authorities (Consellería de Educación Xunta de Galicia) whose main aim is providing long-life training for teachers of public schools of the region. The CFR of Ferrol serves approximately 2500 teachers in Primary, Secondary and Vocational schools, a School of Languages and a School of Music. There are 103 schools within our influence area.
We also co-operate with the local authorities (Concello de Ferrol) and partners associations responsible of providing extra- curricular activities, school meals and special support for socially disadvantaged students.
Our main commitments are teacher training and school advising.  

Teacher Training:
- We organize courses, meetings, work groups and specific school training.
- We provide resources, materials, books, documents and external guidance.
- We supervise school-based training activities. 

School Advising:
- We provide support and advise to schools, teachers and local educational authorities on current issues.
- We currently offer training and support on the following Plans, Projects and Programmes: Bilingual Schools. ITC Schools. School Management. Sport in Schools. Self-evaluation and Improvement Plans in Schools. Improving Literacy through the School Libraries Program. Support Programmes for Students with Social and Economic Disadvantages.
