DADA - DEVELOPING A DIGITAL ACADEMY

Teacher Training Sessions

Teacher Training SessionsThis output of the project is a series of context specific teacher training sessions designed specifically to give them enhanced skills and confidence in delivering on line teaching and the use of IT in their teaching role.

Using materials, shared idea and collaborative work, partners, and importantly students, contributed to this substantial pack oft he project which we aim to make available in all five languages of the project (English, Welsh, Spanish, Turkish and German).

The material was trialled throughout the project term, amended if needed, evaluated and delivered by all partner schools before finalizing into a roll out teacher pack. We anticipated the impact would be a greater understanding of teaching methodology, what software is available and how to use them efficiently and teachers will be better equipped to meet the needs of learners, upskilling them to be future ready.

The aim was to develop a network in Europe of competent, skilled IT practitioners of various subjects who are comfortable and excited to use digital content to conduct lessons at home and over the internet with partners.
Teachers received training in all aspects of delivering excellent lessons and digital content and were encouraged to confidently use these skills to develop key competences, specifically DIGITAL, in all students.

Through these teacher training modules, participating schools and staff developed learning networks with colleagues in other countries and developed their own sense of European collaboration and identity. Teachers have contributed to the widening of this network and then they in turn became core practitioners to help spread expertise throughout their profession. Within schools teachers disseminated their knowledge and experience to colleagues across their schools.
